We’re Hiring: Stock Planner Job Vacancy

Woods Foodservice Limited is a successful family-owned fine food distributor to the quality sector of the catering industry. We provide high-quality ambient, fine food ingredients and dairy products from around the world and are renowned as a market leader. Our clients are predominantly based in Central London and include the likes of Heston Blumenthal & Gordon Ramsay to name a few.

Our enviable reputation and sustained growth are mainly due to very high service levels. As a result of our continued success, we are looking to strengthen our Stock replenishment team.

Requirements:

Supply planners are an important role within the company and responsible for ensuring we have sufficient stock, forecasting future demand and managing suppliers

Tasks Include:

  • Determining stock requirements based on demand, and placing orders
  • Review and management of missed sales
  • Managing stock held
  • Ensuring deliveries are booked in and arrive on time and in full
  • Working with suppliers to resolve any issues
  • Reacting to any changes in customer demand
  • Liaising with Finance to resolve any invoice queries
  • Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales
  • Keeping our customer service and sales department fully informed re product information
  • Building & retaining good relationships with the current suppliers

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Experience in stock replenishment/buying preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of the supply chain process
  • Good attention to & eye for detail
  • Commercially minded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective decision maker
  • Driven, self-motivated
  • Able to cope with the demands of a fast paced and changing business
  • Effective team player
  • Ability to identify trends
  • Good practical knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task
  • UK Driving License
