Woods 2021: A Year in Review

2021, another difficult year for hospitality but another opportunity to play a small part in some amazing menus, supplying the very best quality ingredients to top chefs and restaurants throughout London, Bristol and Brighton, so we look back with positivity and much hope for a smoother 2022.

Lyles Restaurant, Shoreditch

We started the year in a national lockdown, meaning it was difficult to know what to expect, but the re-opening of many restaurants in March showed the public’s appetite for eating out was as big as ever, with some restaurants seeing reservations of up to 12 weeks in advance. It was recorded that more than four million people booked to visit hospitality venues in England within the first two weeks of the sector re-opening for outdoor service on the 12th of April.

By the end of 2021, we had delivered 19,915,286 products to our customers, including a whopping 131,841 bottles of milk, 61,094 tins of chopped tomatoes and 48,349 individual limes!
