As we approach the first of December, the anticipation of festive feasting and social outings grows. There really is no better way to celebrate the run up to Christmas than by catching up with friends and family over a delicious meal and perhaps a tipple…or three. The Lord Wargrave, Marylebone

There is no better place to balance a traditional Christmas feast with a smokehouse twist! They are offering a variety of festive add-ons to ensure your meal is a real Christmas cracker, including a champagne reception and whiskey flight. Marsha, Southbank

Inspired by a love of the noble chicken, Marsha pride themselves on providing the fullest flavour alongside easy-going dining. Marsha is located on the Southbank at Gabriel’s Wharf, perfectly positioned on the riverside. They’ve cooked up a classic Christmas menu with some Marsha flourishes including a chicken, apricot and black pudding terrine for starter as well as beetroot, mushroom and walnut wellington alongside their infamous roast chicken as options for mains. Its view over the Thames is a perfect spot to celebrate a festive meal with friends and family alike.

Fiume, Battersea

Fiume is tucked away in the heart of the iconic Battersea Power Station development and offers an Italian inspired festive menu. Head Chef Francesco Mazzei is passionate about serving wholesome, hearty recipes made with fresh, vibrant ingredients and has created a four-course Italian feast. Enjoy their ever-evolving festive specials including Pan-fried veal fillet, potato, wild mushrooms and thyme or trial the newly added Pot roast monkfish, Romano peppers & marjoram.

The Botanist

For a festive meal that’s set to last late into the night, then The Botanist is a top spot. The bustling and spacious bar, restaurant and cocktail lounge is located just off Liverpool Street and well known for its excellent range of seasonal dishes with an impressive drinks list to match. This Christmas they will be offering a four-course menu including a gin cured salmon, avocado mousse, and wasabi mayo starter as well as a Roast Norfolk bronze turkey, with all the trimmings, as well as a range of five indulgent dessert options. The dark chocolate panna cotta, almond and strawberry with espresso syrup is calling our name. A pre-warning, the buzzing atmosphere may incur a later bedtime than planned.
