The most mouth-watering week of the year is here! From 6th -12th March, British Pie Week celebrates the history of making (and eating!) pies. Meat pies first appeared in the 12th Century as a convenient, tasty, long-lasting food, and have since become a staple of British pub and restaurant menus. We can't think of a better way to celebrate the British pie than to visit one of our favourite spots. 

Bob Bob Ricard

Bob Bob Ricard is a French-inspired and Modern British restaurant that boasts cool art décor and the famous ‘Champagne button’ that is located on every table. If you’re looking for a show-stopper pie, Bob Bob Ricard’s Chicken & Champagne Pie will knock you off your feet. It is made with shiitake mushrooms, leeks, carrots caramelised onions and a champagne velouté under a golden puff pastry and even engraved with their name. 

 

The Pie Room at Holborn Dining Room

The Pie Room at Holborn Dining Room is located in the prestigious Rosewood Hotel. It is dedicated to the British savoury delicacy, and many people worldwide visit the Pie Room to try a beautifully created pastry. The menu consists of a have a variety of different fillings, from Salmon and Octopus fish pie to Hand raised pork pie. They also offer culinary experiences such as a Pie masterclass for kids!

 

The Jugged Hare

The Jugged Hare is located on Chiswell Street, in Barbican. It is known as London’s leading Gastro Pub and serves impeccably executed dishes using the finest British ingredients. Specialising in game, they are famous for their Sunday roasts and their menu features “Pie of the Day” with their latest being a Blackface lamb, liver, heart and root vegetable pie, served with mash and gravy.
