Woods Foodservice is now a certified B Corp™, scoring 90.6 in the B Impact Assessment. Here’s what it means and how we got there.

B Corp certification is awarded to companies that meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. To achieve certification, businesses must score a minimum of 80 points in the rigorous B Impact Assessment. We are delighted to have achieved a score of 90.6, placing us well above the required threshold and reflecting the strength of our long-term commitment to doing business the right way.

B Corp certification, awarded by B Lab, recognises companies meeting high social and environmental standards, but in foodservice, that responsibility extends across complex supply chains, from farm to fork.
Through the B Impact Assessment, we assessed not just our operations but how we source, distribute, and reduce waste. Our score of 90.6 reflects a focus on responsible sourcing, supply chain transparency, and supporting more sustainable food production.
It is increasingly important for foodservice companies as it proves real commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, helping build trust, stand out, and meet rising consumer and regulatory expectations.
With recertification every three years, B Corp provides a framework for ongoing improvement. This will help us respond to key industry challenges like climate impact, resource use, and building a more resilient food system.

For our customers, B Corp is a promise of ethical, sustainable, and accountable business. It means our products are responsibly sourced, we operate with transparency, and we work with like-minded partners. Choosing Woods means supporting people, planet, and purpose, not just profit.
"Sustainability for us is a bigger scale thing... it's behind everything we do. What I like about Woods is that they are transparent. My relationship with the Woods team is a very positive one."
Jean Delport, Executive Chef at Restaurant Interlude

B Corp certification isn’t just about what happens within our own walls, it’s also about building a community of businesses that share our values. Working with suppliers who prioritise sustainability, quality, and ethical practices is central to our mission. Take Jude’s, for example. As a fellow family-owned B Corp, their ethos mirrors our own: commitment to excellence, sustainability, and doing business the right way.
Jude’s shared their thoughts on the partnership, stating:
"We love working with Woods. As a fellow family-owned B Corp, their commitment to quality, service and sustainability aligns perfectly with ours. Their team is proactive, thoughtful, and genuinely focused on doing business the right way.
We’ve already reduced our carbon intensity by 30% on our path to 43% by 2030, and Woods’ commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainability strengthens our shared mission."
